Obituary for Elizabeth J. Tigani (Niederriter)

KANE
Elizabeth "Betty" J. Tigani, 68, of 7453 Highland Road, died Thursday (May 3, 2018) at UPMC Kane.
Born September 27, 1949, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Grace Marie Beichner Niederriter. On July 6, 1968, she married Pasquale "Pat" Tigani who survives.
Betty attended St. Michael's Catholic School in Fryburg and graduated from North Clarion High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed at various times by McMahon and Bard Accountants; the Kane Community Hospital, the office of Woods, Baker and Ross Law Firm; and First Federal Savings and Loan where she was a staff accountant.
Betty was an avid bowler and golfer and a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Christina Tigani, Mary (Steve) Tunall and Joseph (Sara) Tigani, all of Kane; seven grandchildren, Amanda Tunall, Elizabeth "Ellie" Tunall, Sadie Tunall, Garrett Walters, Joseph Walters, Grace Tigani and Leah Tigani. Also surviving are her brother, Donald (Ruth) Niederriter of Shippenville; sisters, Margaret Stallman of Dunedin, FL and Victoria (Dana) Host of Tionesta; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her sister Barbara Beddow and her brother, David Niederriter.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. There will be an additional viewing in the gathering space at St. Callistus Church from 10:00am to 11:00am Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial, with the Rev. William O'Brien, pastor, as celebrant, will follow at 11:00 am.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Callistus Catholic Church, 342 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735; Friends' Memorial Public Library, 230 Chase St., Kane, PA; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
