So sorry to learn of Ty's passing. Loved how much he was so crazy about LSU. Always wanted to talk about LSU and watch the games.He even made me a tape of the songs the band played for me to play in my car. Will never forget this wonderful man. I still have picture of when he dressed dogs up for Christmas.

Condolence: Tyrone Winston Abel passed away on May 3rd, 2018, at the age of 77. He was born to James Henry Abel and Bertha Staton Abel on December 26, 1940. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Judith Boyd Abel, his parents, his in-laws, James E. Boyd, Sr.and Marie Boyd; his brothers Henry, Derle, Basil, and his sister, Charlene Abel Landry. He is survived by his daughter Liz Gatzman (Ivan), Michelle Epstein, Dale Abel; grandchildren, Matthew Gatzman (Logan), Allison Gatzman Weiner (Ev), Judith Epstein, and Kylie Abel; 3 great grandchildren; and his brother, Ken Abel (Betty). He is also survived by his wife, Sandra Marie Abel. Tyrone was born in Vicksburg, MS, and moved to New Orleans as an infant, where he spent the majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing, karaoke and all things LSU.
