My dear Renee, Chris, Jonathan and Raquel,
Heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mum.
Sorry for the delay in sending this message but I have been out of town. Was with (cousin) Ann D’Cruz/D’Mello in London when I received the news of Mum’s passing.
I have only the fondest of memories of your Mum! From her affectionate teasing of me as a child, to her ever-ready smile and genuine interest in my well-being whenever we’d meet - unfortunately not frequently with me living on the West Coast. Her engagement in social justice issues and in the interests of the Common Good were most commendable and inspirational. She was such a strong woman in enduring the early loss of your Dad and brother.
I pray for the eternal rest of her soul, and for all of you and your families. Trust that you are all otherwise doing well. Come visit us in Vancouver, if ever the opportunity arises.
