The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Chief Warrant Officer 4 (Ret.) Dwaine Nelson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Wayne Booker
Condolence: I worked with Dwaine for 14 years at Colorado Springs Utilities interacting on both the Propane Air Plant and compressed natural gas systems/vehicles.

I really respected Dwaine for his impeccable character, strong values and work ethic. He always treated people with dignity and respect, was a good communicator, was a great leader and made decisions based on facts and not supposition. He helped others grow through training opportunities and through his leadership by example. Dwaine was someone you could count on to handle both the routine and unexpected. He was always concerned about the safety of his employees, his personal safety and the safety of the public. He had a watchful eye for safety hazards and sought to correct them as quickly as possible.

Dwaine was truly a great man and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Condolences to Alise and his family.
