Obituary for Lois Weinberger

Lois  Weinberger
Lois M. (Starr) Weinberger, 86 of Stevens Point passed away on May 13, 2018. She was born in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin to Reuben and Catherine (Hadaller) Starr on September 22, 1931. Lois settled in Stevens Point in 1970 with her family. While raising five children she volunteered many hours with the Woodland Girl Scout Council and the local Red Cross Chapter. Both organizations benefited greatly from her leadership and attention to detail. She then returned to college and graduated in 1981 from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. She worked at the Portage County Housing Authority until retirement. She was an active communicant of the Newman Center and later Holy Spirit Parish.
She is survived by all of her children Alan (Denise) Weinberger, Carol (Jack) Telesman, Eric Weinberger, Janet Christianson and Randal Weinberger. She will be remembered fondly by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will take place at Holy Spirit Parish Church on Friday May 18, 2018 from 9:00 - 11:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Stevens Point or Park Ridge EMT services, the Portage County Chapter of the American Red Cross or the Woodland Council of The Girl Scouts of America.
