The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Herman Spencer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: As a retired 5th SFG soldier in Milton it is with great sadness that I never knew MSG Spencer was here. What he and the others accomplished in their lives was an example that many of us followed. De Oppresso Liber

Condolence: I want to pass my sincere condolences to Herman’s family. He was a good man and had known my husband for many many years since they served in Special Forces together. He and my husband were on the Redwine Element during the Son Tay Raid in Nov 1970 into VietNam to rescue American Prisoners of War and Joe told me he made it back home from that Mission because Herman saved his life. I want his family to know whenever Joe and I were in the vicinity of Pensacola, we always went to Herman’s home and spent time with him. May his family know he’s at piece and with God at this time.
