Condolence From: John & Joy Merrell
Condolence: John & I met Wendell last year after moving to Kirby Street just a little distance from his business location. We enjoyed talking with him about bikes and he did a good job working on our bike. He spoke of plans to expand his business & every evening he passed by our house on his way home and we always exchanged a wave and friendly shout out. Last Saturday evening we were on our porch and didn’t realize that would be the last time we saw him in this world. We are so sorry for your loss and his untimely passing. Peace be with you in your time of sorrow. Prayers and blessings to his family, The Merrell’s

Condolence From: Doug McClure
Condolence: Met Wendell at Hawthorne Plywood mill, Wendell, Joe and I would go to the gym 3-4 days a week after work. Wendell moved up into management, I left and went into the Army. We got together again at the American Legion post 45. We rode together many a mile. He loved any challenge, spent extra time going above and beyond fixing motorcycles. A true American whom loved his children. Never a day he did not mention, how proud he was of them. Angels diner, and Cheyenne's wings. May God bless all who passby and read this. Rip Ranger, encyclopedia man.

Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of Wendell’s passing. Growing up with him and all of the neighborhood kids was so much fun. I have many fond memories of all of us neighborhood kids riding bikes, playing baseball and other games at one another’s houses during the summer until late at night.

I was fortunate to have had dinner with him and all the neighborhood gang shortly after I moved back to Palatka and was able to catch up with him. It was a lot of fun reliving those memories and catching up on what we had all been doing thru the years. Wendell was great fun to be around and I am proud to have been able to call him my friend. He was an amazing man and friend who will be greatly missed.
