Stanley C. "Stan"  Kokofski, Jr.
Stanley C. Kokofski Jr., known to family and friends as Stan, Stash, or Stasiu, passed away on May 20, 2018, at the age of 68. Stan was born July 17, 1949 to Stanley and Helen (Dynia) Kokofski of Enfield. A lifelong Enfield resident, he served in the Connecticut Air National Guard during the Vietnam War and owned local businesses including an auto shop and Stan’s Carpet Company. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, gardening and making homemade pickles, and the company of his beloved English Mastiff, Blaka. He was an avid fisherman, and spent many happy days trout fishing with family and friends. Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kokofski; his granddaughter, Misha; and his sister, Linda Normand, and brother-in-law, Adelin Paris. He also leaves an extended family that includes two generations of nieces and nephews, many cousins and other relatives, and good friends. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Garner St., East Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert’s Church, 90 Alden Ave., Enfield. Please meet directly at the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
