Obituary for Robert B. Shutt
Robert B. Shutt, 70, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital, with his family by his side.
Born in Shamokin on September 5, 1947, Bob was the son of the late Donald W. and Anna T. Smith Shutt.
Bob retired as a printer and photographer from the former AMP, Inc. He was a 1965 graduate of the former John Harris High School, Harrisburg. Bob was an U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg. Bob was Past Vice President of the Friendship Club Home Association, Harrisburg; and was a member since 1972 of the Harrisburg Firemen’s Relief Association where he served on their Board for 20 years. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing; and loved music.
He is survived by a son, Robert A. Shutt of Middletown; a daughter, Jennifer Shutt of Harrisburg; and a grandson, Dylan Shutt of Harrisburg.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 4 PM
in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 3 PM until time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042.
