Dave was a teacher to me like many others. I remember my very first drum lesson with him. Almost impossible not to. I was so rigid and nervous and he was just the most easy breezy guy. I was a young and foolish boy who had yet to broaden my horizons beyond that of metal but Dave opened me up to the whole world of percussion. The man could do truly beautiful things with a pair of sticks in his hands and always seemed to genuinely love every minute of creation.
Dear Dave,
You were a fantastic brother. We had alot of fun growing up. I especially enjoyed being able to tag along with your bands and enjoy your music. We will all miss you greatly.
