Rosa K.  Smith
Rosa Kay Smith, 73, of Kennedale, Texas, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2018 at Skyvue Funeral Home. Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Skyvue Funeral Home.
Her loving family was her greatest Joy in Life. Her love, strength, and her devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
Rosa Kay was born in Olustee, Oklahoma to Virgil and Lillie Mae (Vaile) Hestand. She married he rsoulmate Teddy Eugene Smith on June 9, 1960 and they were united in marriage for 55 years until his death, January 8, 2016. They raised their family in Kennedale, Texas since 1968.
Rosa Kay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Teddy Eugene Smith; brothers, Bill Hestand, VL Hestand, Buster Hestand, Don Hestand; sisters, Ima Jean Hestand Harris and Jenny Fay Hestand who was Rosa’s twin sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Ryjeania (Jack) Davis of Kennedale, Texas, Robin (Calvin) Rhyne of Euless, Texas, Teddie (Kay) Smith of Kennedale, Texas; son, Scott Smith (James Hunter); 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister in law, Marie Hestand of Bay City and adopted daughter Laurie (Pyeatt) Munsch (C.A. Munsch III) of Arlington, Texas.
