Cheryl Lynne Gill born March 20 1945 in Minneapolis MN, dies peacefully surrounded by family in her home on June 2 2018 in Temple Tx.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 31 years Kurt H. Gill of Temple, son Taylor Anderson and daughter in law Kelly Anderson, son Brian Anderson daughter in law Susan Anderson, and 4 grandchildren Mikeal, Zachary, Amanda, and Paige. She is preceded in death by her parents Gregory and Dorothy Helvig, and 2 sisters Nadine and Janette. Cheryl retired from Scott & White Prescription Services in 2008, enjoyed sewing and being an active member of her fellowship community at Immanuel Lutheran Church. After Cheryl retired she kept busy doing things around the house, watching her grandchildren graduate from high school. She had an astounding love for her family, for her dogs through the years, and for nature. Cheryl fought heroically against breast cancer for the past 30 years and accepted Christ's offer to be in peace while patiently awaiting her reunion with her loved ones when they are called.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at the Immanuel Lutheran Church located at 2109 W. Ave H, Temple Tx. on June 23 2018 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization in Cheryl's honor.
