The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Burke can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Mom-Mom could always make me laugh with her silliness when I was a child and as an adult. She also was able to show my kids; her great- grandkids Isaiah, Nadia, and Eden the same joy. Mom-Mom was there for me when my Mom was ill and couldn't care for me, and we had so much fun. Mom-Mom could make a simple trip to Wendy's seem like a major adventure. She always found a way to make the best out of a bad situation and she passed that down to my Mom, Joyce and I am teaching my kids to do the same. Although she is not physically here and although I live so far from her we have many fun and happy stories to tell each other. And thats because of her and who she was and what she taught her children. That is how Mom-Mom will live on in our lives. In those funny, silly moments that she was able to turn into memories that make us smile. That is how I choose to remember her. Thank you Mom-Mom for the little things about life you taught me that no one else needs to know about.
