Obituary for Walter Richard "Rick" Williams
Walter “Rick” Williams, Jr.
Funeral service for Mr. Walter “Rick” Williams, Jr. of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00am Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe with Rev. Neil Wiggly officiating. Interment will follow at Lowe Cemetery in Kelly, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, June 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born February 12, 1951 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on June 5, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 67. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman; collected guns, coins and knives, and loved John Wayne, Walter loved spending time with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bessie Williams; nephew Yancy Alldredge.
Survivors include his son, Christopher Williams of Swartz, three brothers, Bennie Ray Williams of West Monroe, Roger Allen Williams and wife, Pamela of Tyler, TX, Lonnie Boyd Williams and fiancé, Dana Thorn of Frankston, TX; one sister, Shirley Ann Alldredge and husband, Doyle of Clarence, LA; four nieces, Amanda, Kimberly, Launa, and Tiffany, two nephews, Johnathan and Casey; one grandchild, Kendall Gibson; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jody Perritt, Casey Alldredge, Justin Lenard, David Womack, John Mauldin and Wesley Mauldin. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnathan Williams.
