John Thomas “Tom Cat” Jones, 56, of Louisburg departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his home. Born on August 5, 1961 to the late Weldon Ezra, Sr. and Elsie Mae Burnette Jones. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald “Dick” Jones, Charles Jones and Richard “Bud” Jones.

He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Nelms (Henry), Linda Murphy (Jerry) and Frances Jones; brothers, Macon Jones (Evelyn), Weldon “Junior” Jones (Phyllis), Rufus “Root” Jones, Ernest “Pete” Jones (Eva Aycock), and Scott Jones (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews.

Tom Cat was a hard working and very smart man, he could fix anything. He was involved in Wood Baptist Church, and the Wood community. He had no children of his own, but he loved children.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Wood Baptist Church, 649 Wood Church Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery on Thomas Jones Rd.
