GARDINER, MAINE
Frank M. "Butch" Staton, age 69, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Veterans Administration Medical and Regional Office Center at Togus. He was born in Portland, ME on September 10, 1948 a son of the late Mary J. (Murray) Staton.
Mr. Staton was a graduate of Freeport High School and the University of Farmington where he earned his Bachelor's Degree.
He was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Butch was a self-employed Painting Contractor for many years. He was also very skilled at small engine repair.
Mr. Staton is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Beverly J. (Colby) Staton; a son, Scott Staton and daughter Kelly Staton; Stepfather Jarrett Jay Staton; four sisters: Kathy Hatfield, Tammy Dunphy, Maggie Viekman, Heidi Emery and a brother Jay Staton; two granddaughters: Alexis Manley and Maranda Levasseur; his aunt Margaret (Staton) Park as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private. Butch's burial will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Dr., Augusta, the date to be determined.
