Obituary for Larry William Boisen
CLIFTON PARK Larry W. Boisen, 67, of Mohawk Terrace Apartments died Monday June 18, 2018 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy he was the son of the late William Hans and Edna Doris Thayer Boisen. He was a 1969 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Larry began a 51 year career in the food industry at the age of 16 and was currently employed as a manager with Tops Supermarkets, formerly Grand Union. A sports enthusiast he played basketball in men’s leagues well into his 50’s. He also enjoyed golfing and football and was a Raiders and NY Yankees fan.
Survivors include his devoted daughters, Amanda Rose King (Paul) of Avon, IN and Audra Lynne Bestler (Stephen) of East Greenbush and his loving sister Janice D. McMahon (Earl) of Halfmoon. He is the proud grandfather of Gavin Michael, Emma Genevieve, and Alyssa Marie King, Tyler Michael and Kelsey Annmarie Bestler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from noon to 2 pm prior to the funeral service.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation, 2 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205.
