Harold Kohnen, age 97, passed away on June 18, 2018. He was a resident of Colorado Springs and was formerly a resident of Washington D.C. He was a tax research specialist for the government for 35 years.

Harold was born on June 11, 1921 to George and Florence (Kilp) Kohnen in Newport, Kentucky. He graduated from Georgetown College and married Jeanne B. Van Beeck in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Harold was fond of tennis. He also enjoyed travelling the world along with Jeanne. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. He served as a medic in the United States Army for four years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Kohnen, and his son, Gerald Kohnen.

Private services will be held and private entombment will take place at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Alcove of Mt. Olivet.
