Obituary for Renee M. Calavetta
Renee M. Calavetta, 50, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison.
Born in Perth Amboy, Renee grew up in Edison graduating from J.P. Stevens High School. While she was in high school, Renee was a talented athlete, breaking records during her years of playing softball. After high school, she was awarded a full four year scholarship to Philadelphia College where is majored in textile design. She later settled to South Plainfield to raise her daughter, Nicole.
Recently, Renee enjoyed golfing and shooting pool, but she most enjoyed the time spent with her family and dog, Casey.
Surviving are her husband of 21 years, John Calavetta and daughter, Nicole of South Plainfield; parents, Thomas W. and Isabel “Rickey” (Grammatica) Nichols; brother, Thomas F. Nichols Sr. and a host of extended family.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 3-7PM in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 funeral services will begin at 6:30PM.
Cremation will follow privately.
