Obituary for Taeko Jackson (Tsuruta)

Taeko  Jackson (Tsuruta)
Taeko Jackson, 83, of New Britain, CT. departed this life Wednesday morning June 20, 2018. Taeko was born on September 9, 1934 in Nagasaki, Japan she was the daughter of Takizo and Haruno Tsuruta. Taeko was the eldest of five children; one sister, Miyoko and three brothers, Toshiki, Shuichi and Takiharu Tsuruta. While in Japan, she married Linwood Jackson, Sr. and traveled to the United States where they settled in New Britain, CT. Mrs. Jackson was employed by Stanley Works for over twenty-five years before retiring in 2000. Her favorite hobbies were Bingo and Pokeno. Taeko was an avid sports fan who loved the New England Patriots, New York Yankees and tennis.
Taeko is survived by her three children: Jeanette (Da nny) White, A. Kimmiko Jackson all of New Britain, CT and Linwood (Kathleen) Jackson Jr., of Leesburg, VA, seven grandchildren: Tyrone Jackson, Raneesah Waldo, Danny White Jr., Derek White, Lauren Jackson, Spencer Jackson, Aidan Jackson and three great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her great love and support she gave to her family and missed by her friends.
Homegoing Service for Taeko will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Apostolic Church, 249 Stanley St., New Britain, CT with the Elder Danny White, Sr., presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. Calling hours for relatives and friends will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bethesda Apostolic Church. Service of Comfort and Compassion provided by the Paul A.
