June M.  King (Hoke)
June M. Hoke King, 84, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, June 26, 2018 at Menno Haven. A daughter of the late Millard and Myra Raffensberger Hoke, she was born June 24, 1934 in Manchester, York County, PA and raised in Goldsboro, PA. Mrs. King was a 1955 graduate of the former Shippensburg State Teacher’s College. She taught eleventh and twelfth grade business classes at North York High School following graduation. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg and a former long-time member of Advent Lutheran Church in York, PA. She was a member and Past President of the South Penn Area Rose Society and at one time had 300 rose bushes at her home. She served as a judge at many rose shows throughout south central Pennsylvania. An avid golfer, Mrs. King enjoyed playing with the ladies leagues at Penn National Golf Course.

She is survived by her husband, Charles F. King, Sr.; her son, Dr. Robert N. King of Rochester, NY; a sister, Thelma Fetrow of Newberry, PA; and a granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles F. King, Jr. on May 29, 2017 and two sisters, Lola and Mildred.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Sharon Kelly, PhD. will officiate. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 West Commerce Street, Chambersburg, PA, 17201.
