Condolence: Charlene and family, Bill was my oldest customer. I started cutting his hair when I first started barbering and continued until about three weeks before he passed. Ours has been a forty-some year friendship. He was a very fine man and will be greatly missed. My family and I want you to know you'll continue to be in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

Condolence: Mark, Mollie and Mrs. Wheeler, My thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with you. I have always referred to Bill as Mr. Wheeler out of the respect he deserved. I told Mark recently that Bill was the classiest man I've ever known. He carried himself with a quiet confidence and was always so dedicated to his family. Since moving out of Ohio 22 years ago, I had the good fortune to spend time with him a few times at Notre Dame football games in the early 2000s. Our conversations were always good and reached much further than football and I will cherish those memories.

Condolence: I knew Bill for many years at Sherwood Forest Swim Club. I always admired his dignity and family values. I also admired the fact he was a tremendous swimmer that held records for literally decades at our pool. He was the first Robin Hood, and although Sherwood is closed, he is one of the people, along with his family, who made the club special. He gave me swimming advise and lifeguarding advise and was always nice to me and my family. Prayers from me, my mom and dad, Ginny and Hank Holmes to Charlene, Mollie and Mark.
People like Bill make a big impression upon you, his smile and kindness will be missed.

Condolence: Charlene, Molly, and Mark, my sincerest condolences for your loss. I doubt you recognize my name, but Bill and I were swimming teammates, all through high school. We spent countless hours training in the YMCA pool. He swam the the backstroke and I swam the butterfly. We had a very good team, and won a lot of competitions. We went our separate ways after high school. I had not seen him until February 2013 when he attended a memorial service for my mother in Dayton. It was quite a surprise to see him, but that's the kind of person he was. I am sorry I can't return the favor, but my thoughts and prayers are with you. He was a great friend.

Condolence: Charlene, Mollie and Mark --

We are sending our love and hugs during this extremely difficult time. Mr. Wheeler was such a genuinely nice person, who always asked about our family and was so supportive of the Duffy crew. And always a smile on his face. We will miss him.
