Obituary for Gertrude McKeon

Gertrude McKeon, 87 of the Holiday City Carefree section of Berkley Twp., passed away on July 8, 2018. She was born in Orange, NJ and lived in Kinnelon, NJ before moving to Holiday City Carefree 23 years ago. She was a Traffic Director for Beneficial Finance Corp. in Morristown, NJ for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, past President and Treasurer of Holiday City Carefree, and Treasurer of The Gazette. Gertrude was predeceased by her parents James and Gertrude (Moran), her brother, James L. McKeon, Jr., her sister, Marge McDonough and her sister, Joan Catherine O’Brien. Surviving is her sister, Mary Jane Schaeffer of Kinnelon, NJ, and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday July 16, 2018 from 9am to 10am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ 08753. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow to St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
