Obituary for Gregory M. Miller
Gregory M. Miller, of Toms River, N.J., passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. Gregory spent his childhood in Roselle Park, N.J. and graduated from Roselle Park High School. He attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, V.A. and received his graduate degree from Fordham University in New York, N.Y.
Gregory retired after a long, successful career as a financial controller and served as Vice President of Finance for several large manufacturing firms. He was passionate about sports, most importantly his beloved New York Yankees, and he had a deep knowledge of and appreciation for music of all genres. He was a devoted father who cherished his children above all else.
Gregory was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Madelyn Miller, his brother Gary Miller and his nephew Ryan Mogila. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janis Miller, his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Brendan Murphy, and his son Jamison Miller. He also leaves behind his father-in-law, his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and his two precious “grand-puppies”, all of whom he adored. He will truly be missed.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, N.J. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow to St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River, N.J.
