Condolence: Charles Alexander was a composite of most of the qualities of an RCAF officer. He was a slightly formal man, with an excellent knowledge of both his vocation and his surroundings. He loved his family, who returned that love; he was a good friend and workmate; and he gave fair value to his profession.

( He was also a lot of fun at a party and himself raised macaroni & cheese casseroles to unnecessary heights.) Charles was acknowledged to a brave and experienced navigator.

Edna and I and his several friends will never forget him. Our deepest sympathy to Fran and the family.

Condolence: So sorry that I can't be with you at this time Fran. I am so happy to have known Charles not only as a brother-in-law but as a friend. His sense of humour, his stories along with being the master of the bar (martinis and g and t's) and chef of the famous mac and cheese and delicious weekend brunches will be forever remembered. I will miss him a lot.

Condolence: I was honoured to have Charles as a friend and I enjoyed many Friday night suppers with him and Fran savouring his mac n' cheese casserole. After which I soaked in his multitude of stories, various travel adventures and knowledge of worldly affairs . He has left me with many happy memories, especially the five o'clock martini time!! I shall miss him.
