Life Story for Linda G. Studdiford (Coons)

Linda G. Studdiford (Coons)
Linda G. (Coons) Studdiford, 74, of DeFreestville, died on August 1, 2018, at the Riverside Rehabilitation Center, Castleton, NY. Born in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth B. and Grace F. (Appleton) Coons. She was the wife of Andrew D. Studdiford, who predeceased her on April 10, 2018.
Linda graduated from Columbia High School, East Greenbush, NY, Class of 1961. She went on to receive a degree in music from SUNY Fredonia, NY, in 1965, after which she taught music in public schools in Camden, NY and Corinth, NY. Later in life Linda worked for many years in the Walmart Pharmacy in North Greenbush, where customers would ask for her by name to help them out.
While living in Camden, Linda met the love of her life, Andrew Studdiford, whom she married in 1969. Over the years, Linda and Andy could be found every weekend at their camp on Lake Abanakee, in the Adirondacks. Linda loved books, golf and music, and was a wicked pinochle player. She was famous for her German-style baked beans and hosting wonderful Thanksgiving dinners.
Linda is survived by her son, William D. Studdiford of DeFreestville, her brother, John K. Coons (Mary) of Dania Beach, Florida, and a first cousin, Diane Brunelle of Rensselaer.
The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff of Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy NY. A memorial service will be announced.
