Obituary for Luis Gutierrez

Luis Gutierrez
Meriden: LUIS GUTIERREZ

Luis Gutierrez, 55, husband of Susana Mendez Gutierrez, died Sunday, August 26, 2018. Born in Puebla, Mexico on August 25, 1963, he was the son of Leonardo Gutierrez and the late Elena DeDios Gutierrez.

Mr. Gutierrez was a kind, forgiven, hardworking and humble man. He loved family gatherings and enjoyed gardening.

Beside his father and wife, he is survived by five daughters; Deenis Gutierrez and her husband Aliphang, Magaly Gutierrez, Melissa Gutierrez, Adaliz Gutierrez and Ashley Gutierrez and eight grandchildren; Abdullah, Lyllah, Meiling, Alina, Anthony, Jayden, Daijiana and Henry. He is also survived by five sisters: Gloria, Eduarda, Gabriela, Gudelia and Juana Gutierrez, five brothers; Nicolas, Salvador, Casimiro, Jose and Tereso Gutierrez, many nieces and nephews and his long time companion Tina Guiroz.

A funeral will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St. Meriden and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning prior to the service from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
