Frances E. “Betty” (nee Hoffman) Gehling
Bridgetown – loving wife of the late Walter B. Gehling, devoted mother of Juliana Gehling Fay, Joseph (Gladys) Gehling, Charles (Theo) Gehling, Art Gehling, and the late Thomas “Tim” (Carleen Davis) Gehling, grandmother of Dori (Richard Linnemann) Gehling, Thomas (Cynthia) Gehling, Jenny Fay, Victor (Holly) Fay, Angie (Jeffery) Priest, Beth (Calvin) Lane, Lisa (Bill) Thorp, Joseph (Bridget) Gehling, Jessica Orton, Blake Lawrence, Reed Gehling, great grandmother of 19, great great grandmother of 1, sister of the late Margaret Mary Nagel. Betty was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels High School and was awarded a scholarship to Edgecliff College where she earned a bachelor degree in chemistry. Betty was the first woman lab tech hired by Procter and Gamble. She also had a love of reading, and taught primary grades at St. Aloysius Gonzaga School, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Mother of Mercy Academy. Died, Monday, August 27, 2018, age 98. Visitation in the Tekulve Room at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, September 1, 2018 at 9:00 AM, until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, The Gehling Family suggests memorial donations to St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 4366 Bridgetown Rd (45211).
