James Hagan

Uncle Frank, was my mother’s younger brother. He was just thirteen years my senior, and when I was growing up, he was like a big brother to me. Uncle Frank was a “hellion” as a young man, much to the concern of my mother. Consequently, he was “a cool uncle” who had a fast motorcycle, fast cars, was a great mechanic, and he taught me how to fix anything that was broken. In fact, he got me my first tool box, and my own set of tools when I was about twelve (1972). Frank would give anyone the shirt off his back, and was truly a really friendly and nice guy. His garage had all the tools you could imagine, and like mine now, was the “go to garage” for neighbors and friends, to get something repaired. Over the years, and with my own kids, Frank and I went to some car shows, country fairs, out to lunch; but I regret not doing that more often. I will miss him. My sincere condolences, to Aunt Kathy.
