Obituary for Flora G. (Carroll) Antonucci

FRAMINGHAM: Flora G. (Carroll) Antonucci, 93, a resident of Framingham for more than 60 years, died peacefully Tuesday Sept. 25, 2018 at St. Patrick's Manor.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Antonucci who died in 1980. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Mary J. (McDougal) Carroll. A graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Somerville, she also attended Simmons College in Boston. Mrs. Antonucci worked in administration for Verizon for 29 years in the Framingham and Marlborough offices before retiring. An avid experienced world traveler, she made trips to China, Japan and many other far flung destinations over the years. She loved arranging flowers, and was a past president of the Simpson Park Garden Club. In recent years, Mrs. Antonucci made many great friends with her fellow residents at St. Patrick's Manor.

She is survived by her 4 children: Frank J. Antonucci and his wife Kate Bishop of Maryland, Elizabeth J. Antonucci of Framingham, Anthony C. Antonucci and his wife Kathy of Framingham, and John S. Antonucci and his wife Sandra of Framingham; 4 step-grandchildren: Eric, Timothy, Bridget and Justin; and 5 great grandchildren: McKenna, Daken, Sydney, Eaton and Violet. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, M. Jeneth Bzdula, two brothers William J. Carroll and John J. Carroll, Sr., and a sister Catherine DiMano.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday October 4th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Chapel in St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham. A visiting hour will precede the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Private burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
