Florence E. Herzog passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born in Papalote, Texas on August 30, 1931 to the late John and Dora Syma.
Florence was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to be outdoors, enjoyed swinging on her brown swing with her children and grandchildren and loved to be wheeled down Ganado Street, by her son Billy, to eat at Estella’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fritz John Herzog, brothers, sisters and one great grandchild.
She is survived by her children Connie Fields, Libby (Royce) Wood, Pam (Bill) Parrish, Peggy (Rusty) Hall, Billy Herzog and Chad (Stephanie) Herzog; 2 sisters Dolly Hunt and Sissy (Jimmy) Lewallen; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Grace Funeral Chapel, Port Lavaca. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Grace Funeral Chapel with Father Tommy Chen officiating and burial to follow at Olivia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cory Hall, Cody Hall, Curtis Fields, John Wood, Clinton Wood, Calvin Wood, Dylan Mills and Brenden Beck.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Olivia Cemetery Association c/o Gina Janis, 50 County Road 304E, Port Lavaca, TX 77979.
