It is with profound sadness we share the news of the passing of Mickey Kilpatrick. Although we will miss her every day we will also have the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Mickey was born Meredith Lee Wagar on December 27, 1936 to Bob and Ike Wagar. She and her husband George Kilpatrick raised five children, Robin, Karin, Todd, Scott (died in 2016) and Gregg, in Warren. Mickey taught school in the Warren area for many years. She and George owned and operated Wagar’s Pine Point in Apsley, Ontario every summer since 1968. They have spent their winters in Fort Myer’s Beach, Florida since 2008.
Mickey had an indomitable spirit, an unbounded sense of humor, a love of singing and dancing and a genuine passion for people and conversation. She will be missed by every person who ever met her.
Mickey will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, George; her children and grandchildren; Robin and her children, Nathan and Aubrey; Karin and her children, Taylor, Logan and Walker; Todd, his wife Laura and their son, Lake; Scott’s children, Nicole and Reed; Gregg, his partner Kerri and his children, Jordan and Jesse. She and George have five great grandchildren; Nadia, Talulah, Marcella, James and Meredith. Other members of Mickey’s family who will remember her fondly are her sister, Judy (Wagar) Kiffer and her husband, Tom, her daughter, Shayne (Kiffer) Cardozo and husband, Jesse and their children, Hana and Curran; Michele Durig and Tami Thomason.
