WAYNE RONALD AVERILL
1935 – 2018
Wayne was born on the farm a Mawer, Saskatchewan on December 4, 1935 and passed away on October 1, 2018 at Innisfail, Alberta in the arms of his family.
He was predeceased by his parents: Chet and Rowena Averill, brothers: Elwood; Ralph and brother in law: Don Knull. He is survived by his loving wife: Marie and their sons: Dean and Cory (Randalyn) and the family dog Axel. He also leaves behind a brother: Lynn (Sheila) and sisters: Janet Marshall and Willow Reeder (Bob) and sister in law Peggy Averill as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne was a good farmer, a devoted son, husband and father. He loved a good joke, traveling, playing cards with his friends and telling tales with his coffee buddies. At one time he was a member of the Innisfail Flying Club and the Lions Club.
He will be missed by so many friends and family as he was a gentle soul with a good sense of humor. A Memorial Tea will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104, Boardroom, Innisfail, Alberta on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to a charity of their choice.
