Paula Christine Blanton, age 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on
Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 15,
2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington.
Christine was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, nana and friend. She loved spending time
with her family and friends and was an inspiration to everyone around her. She always knew
what to say and cherished helping anyone and everyone in any way she could. Her personality
and smile were like a shining ray of hope that permeated every person's life around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Bettye Shumate and survived by her
husband, John Blanton; brothers, David Shumate and Mike Shumate; sister, Cindy Myatt;
children, Matt and Kim Calicott, Jeff and Ashleigh Calicott, Cadee and Jeremy Davis, Clark
Blanton and Bethanne Glover; grandchildren, Lexi, Kayleigh, Logan, Braylee and Hayden along
with numerous family and friends who will miss her dearly.
