Obituary for Lois Kathryn Wilson (Robinson)

Mrs. Lois Kathryn Robinson Wilson age 92 a long time resident of Belington, departed this life Saturday afternoon October 6th, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born January 4th 1926 at Shinnston, WV a daughter of the late Kenneth Griffin and Helen Pauline Sturm Robinson.
She was twice married, first on October 10, 1947 to William Woodrow “Woody” Wilson the 1st who preceded her in death on July 29, 1989 and second on November 1, 1992 to Victor Jack Lucas who preceded her in death on September 12, 2006.

She is survived by two sons; William Woodrow “Skip” Wilson II of Belington, Sherwood Griffin “Sherry” Wilson and wife Debbie of Christiansburg, VA, one daughter Betty Lou McCauley and loving companion Bob of Ontario, Canada, one brother Kenneth Griffin Robinson II of Birmingham, AL. Additional survivors include seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and one step-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by one sister Jerry Lou Powell.

Lois was a Graduate of the Grafton High School, and a graduate of West Virginia University where she received her accounting degree. After becoming a certified public accountant, she was the owner and operator of Lois K. Wilson CPA, in Belington for many years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Belington where she served as treasurer. Lois was a member of the Philippi Chapter #41 OES, had served many years on the Belington Medical Clinic Board of Directors, the Barbour County Rest and Retirement Association and the Philippi/Barbour County Airport Authority. CPA affiliated Organizations she belonged to include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the WV Society of CPA’s. Lois will be remembered for her energy and her hard work and working long hours and way past most people’s retirement age. She’ll be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 North Brandenburg Street in Belington from 5-9pm on Thursday October 11, 2018 and again on Friday October 12th from 8am to 12pm. At that time Mrs. Wilson will be moved to the First Baptist church in Belington where she’ll lie in state from 1pm to 2pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted with the Pastor Julie Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery in Belington. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Mountain Hospice 1200 South Crim Ave. Belington, WV. 26250.
