Donald Harrison Ingle, 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018. He was born on May 11, 1937, the son of Lawrence Ingle and Mary (Reynolds-Ingle) Tobey.
Don attended and graduated from Lakeview High School. He was an active member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church of Battle Creek and active within the Union at Hydreco for 37 years. Don married the love of his life, Sandra in 1956. Don and Sandra enjoyed their retirement residing at Saddlebag Resort in Lake Wales, Florida.
Don is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sandra Jean Ingle; daughter, Michel Lynn (RJ) Mullenix; two sons, Michael Harrison (Julie) Ingle, Mark Harold (Denise) Ingle; seven grandchildren, Andrew Mullenix, Aaron Mullenix, Alan Mullenix, Ashley Kimble, Amy Ingle, Marissa Massey, Matthew Ingle; and 8 great-grandchildren and 4 step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Ingle, mother, Mary Tobey, step-father, Elwyn Tobey, three brothers, Lawrence "Bud" Ingle, Gerald Ingle and Richard Ingle.
Don loved helping anyone he could, it did not matter if they were family or not, he would take the time to help. Don enjoyed golfing, working in his woodshop, hunting with his sons, snowmobiling, traveling with his wife and listening to his Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. Over everything else however, Don loved spending his time watching his children and grandchildren at different activities and sporting events. He will truly be missed by his family and those that knew him.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 4 - 7:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the St, John Lutheran Church on Monday, October 15, 2018 starting at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Johns Lutheran Church.
