Eric Shawn "Bubba" Brookhouser began his eternal life with Jesus Christ on October 8, 2018 at the age of 36 after courageously battling cancer. He was born December 7, 1981 in Victoria, Texas to Eric and Cindy Brookhouser.
Eric is survived by his soul mate and loving wife of 11 years, Katie; his pride and joy children Sugarbear Bailey Brookhouser and Sharkbait Brody Brookhouser ; parents Eric and Cindy Brookhouser; sisters Sherri Leita and husband Justin, Indiah Brookhouser, and Sierra Brookhouser (his Doodlebug); brother Joshua Brookhouser; in-laws Randy and Janis Griffith and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Bubba loved life and he truly loved his family, friends and coworkers. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Goliad. Bubba had a loving and generous servant’s heart and would do anything he could to help those around him, even complete strangers. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved sharing his passion for hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He also found immense beauty in a simple game of baseball, whether playing himself as he did since he was a little boy, watching and coaching his son, or seeing the Astros win the World Series last year...baseball always brought Bubba joy.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Parkway Church, 4802 N John Stockbauer, Victoria. Interment will follow at Crescent Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chase Eads, Cody Shelton, John Beckner, Joel Boyer, Aaron Mozisek, Clint Johnson, Jonathan Wise and Caden Mozisek. Honorary pallbearers are his close friends and co workers, too many to name.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for his children to the “Eric Bubba Brookhouser Memorial Fund” at First State Bank in Victoria, Texas.
