My Dear Shirley - with great sadness I read of your passing. We go back many years, share the same birth year and I’m sure we will never let go of the memories we had saving lives and saving faces I the OR. I will remember many surgical cases that went over 6 hours where you had to save a life while I went to the BR or I had to tread water while you went. You had ‘perfect very gentle’ hands and you on occasion expertly closed a wound while I recovered from total exhaustion! You were one of only a few ‘right hands’ of mine who I would trust to be with me as we put thousands of sutures in an accident victim’s face. I will always remember the shock I felt as a bucket of freezing water gently fell over my head as I left you with all the cleanup at 5am after hours of emergency surgery! I will join you soon my beautiful lady as we go on doing what God told 2 basic human beings to do with their lives. Sleep in peace and hold your head up high as I will see you soon. DOUG
