WATERVLIET Olive R. Simmons, 83, of Carondelet Dr. passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Bertwell and Olive Bruce Whitten.
Olive was employed for 15 years at the former Fleet Bank and retired in 1997 as a Supervisor in the Data Processing Department. In her free time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She is the loving mother of Cheryl Lemons of Syracuse, Arlene “Peanut” Wolbert (John) of Cohoes, Erlene “Chubby” Micklas (Mike) of Schaghticoke and Floyd Dennis Sr. of Grafton.
She is the proud grandmother of Bryana Jacobson, Thomas Lemons, Gregory Micklas, Floyd Denis Jr. and Logan Dennis. 9 Great grandchildren and her feline companion Cuddles also survive.
A Memorial Service will be at the Philip J. Brendese, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32),
Waterford on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Relatives and friends may visit with Olive’s family on Saturday prior to the memorial service from 11 am - 2 pm.
