God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not meant to be.
So he put his arms around you

With tearful eyes we watched you
As we saw you pass away.
Although we loved you deeply,
Your Golden Heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Even though a loved one is gone,
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

These past few weeks has been so very difficult, having to watch the decline of such a strong, caring and capable man.

We have great sadness and heavy hearts because Uncle John has sadly passed away but also an enormous relief that he is no longer suffering as he has been due to this extremely cruel disease.

I know you’re watching over me and listening to me... I miss you so much already. I am very happy that I got to be by your side during your last hours. I promise to continue to be the strong woman you had taught me to be. I promise to go on all the adventures and not take life too seriously. I will take care of Hope and let her live her best life. I will continue to roll my eyes when things don’t go my way and sing at the top of my lungs even when people are staring... because you taught me that life is as serious as you make it and it’s not worth always being mad about. Life is short and life is precious.
