Condolences

Condolence From: Noreen Tretick
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Brian's family. Brian came to visit me when he was on his transcontinental trek from Florida to Haileybury and spent a wonderful evening reminiscing about mutual friends, even hauled out my scrapbooks from CPHS. I was in High school with Sharon in Carleton Place and got to know the family on Lake Avenue, even babysat the odd time . He became a good friend in these later years and am so sorry to hear of his passing. A great man, intelligent, witty and caring. It was very obvious his family meant the world to him, I am sure he will be deeply missed.

Condolence: Dear Vince, Rob, Tony and families,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. What a great guy Brian was, always so full of life and stories. I'll miss his never ending emails, pictures and updates on his travels and just everyday life. He really had a knack for writing as they were never boring.
He was great at keeping in touch with countless friends and family members and took every opportunity to visit them and just stop by for a chat.
He told me countless times how much he loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and what a blessing they were.
He was so very proud of his boys.
I will miss his friendship.
Warm regards,
Angie

Condolence: Hello, and my sympathy to Rob, Vince and tony and your families IT was a shock to hear about Brian, especially since if happened so quickly, we grew up together in Carleton Place, attended the The same schools and hung out, I was at his and your lovely mothers wedding, and Brian was the best man at mine I moved to Ottawa and when Brian attended teachers college there, we roomed together for awhile , then when he got a teaching job and moved to Haileybury, I went up there a few times, when he was in north myrtle beach, he let me and my brother stay there for a very memorable week, when I had my stroke last year, he called me often and tried to talk me out of the depression I was going through, I last talked to Brian in late August, he was happy that his grandchildren were there with him and that he would be going back to teaching in sept, then this terrible disease took his life so quickly, I will remember him allways, because I do not drive and Doug and ny brother Glenn will not be going up there, and I am still recovering from my stroke, I wll not be able to attend the funeral, but my thoughts will be with everbody Saturday, I would like to attend the service at pinecrest on oct. 27, please let me know if this is possible and the details, sincerely Garry

Condolence: I am sorry to hear of Brian's passing, I still have a hard time calling him Brian, I had him as a teacher at Haileybury Public School and he was Mr. Thornton then and still is, I have seen him in the more recent years as a customer of ours at Pete's Small Engines, and he was still Mr. Thornton to me there. It was always a joy to have a little chat with him when he would come in to see us, he will be missed by many.
