Obituary for Kathryn Marie Carell
Kathryn Marie Carell was born March 14th 1989 in Worcester MA, and raised in Acton, MA. She died unexpectedly at the age of 29 on October 20th 2018. Third daughter of Timothy Carell, beloved by her sisters Jennifer, Samantha, Rebekah, her grandfather and WWII veteran Edwin Carell, her uncles Gregory (wife Meg), Michael, Steven (wife Nancy), and cousins Johnny and Annie. Kathryn is held in the hearts of her friends and battle buddies.
A wild child, Kathryn served in the U.S. Army for six years. She was deployed two times in Afghanistan and worked with the Wounded Warriors Project in Germany. Kathryn was an avid reader and writer; a dreamer of publishing her own book one day. She loved her cat named 2%, and walked through life wearing her heart on her sleeve.
We leave Kathryn in the loving arms of the family who preceded her in death: mother Lisa Carell; grandmother Harriet Carell; and aunt Charlene Carell.
Visiting hours are Sunday October 28th from 1:00-4:00P.M. at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Kathryn's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516, also online at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
