Laurie and Don's Wedding

Knowing this sweet lady since I was 18 was a true joy. Though she couldn't hear, she still joined in all the festivities, all the activites for her daughter, Ann.. She gave such amazing hugs and always left you know how much she truly cared about you. I remember sitting in the church the day her granddaughter Laurie got married to Don. She looked so lovely and was escorted to her seat by an usher. When Laurie came down the isle we all stood and turned to watch her entrance. That is when sweet Mildred spotted me sitting a few pews behind her.. She left out a squeal of delight when she saw me. I blew her a kiss and she caught it in the air. It made my heart smile. She was a loving person and she made sure you knew she cared. I sadly, haven't seen her in many years, but I have never and will never forget her and the hugs she gave me that let me know I was loved.. GOD bless Ann, Jim, the girls, their spouses and the great grandchildren. I hope they find comfort in knowing she took the love of family  and friends to heaven with her.. R I P sweet lady....
