Wayne D. Kester, of Springville-Boston Rd., Springville, died Thursday October 25, 2018 in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville at the age of 75.
He was born July 26, 1943 in Springville a son of the late Alvin G. and Grace A. (nee Laufer) Kester. He was a graduate of Springville Griffith Institute and was a member of the Church of God - A Worldwide Association, Buffalo. He was a dairy farmer, owning and operating his own dairy farm in Springville for many years. He was a member of Dairylea and several other dairy/farmer organizations. He had served on the Springville Village Board in the late 1990's-early 2000's. He enjoyed snowmobiling and gardening, but, his passion was his farm.
He is survived by his wife - Penney (nee Gerstner) Kester whom he married May 23, 1971; his children - Erik Kester of Springville, Kirk (Bibi) Kester of Painted Post, NY, Rorik Kester of Springville, Lanrik (Carrie) Kester of Savona, NY, Briere (Noah) Delaney of Springville; a sister - Joyce (Richard) Frankel of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Springville.
