Annie Ruth Oween Nelson (nee Roberts), 88 years, beloved wife of Albert Oliver Nelson of Winnipeg MB passed away suddenly at Health Science Centre on October 27th 2018. She was lovingly surrounded by her family.
Ruth was born June 5th, 1930 in Lundar MB, the eldest child of Thomas Owen Roberts (1874-1947) of North Wales and Ada Knapp (1897-1962) of Toronto, ON.
She is survived by her husband Albert Oliver Nelson and sons Garry (Rita) of St Malo, MB and Rodney (Marilyn) of Morden MB; 4 grandsons, and 3 granddaughters and their spouses along with 17 great grandchildren and step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alma Lobban of Wpg, MB and 2 brothers Percy (Irene) of Stonewall and Bob (Pat) of Lundar, MB and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, Owen, Arthur, David and Eddie and 14 of her in-laws.
A memorial service will take place on Friday November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
