My sincere condolences to Jay's family and friends. I had the pleasure of meeting him for the first time in Minnesota a little more than 10 years ago at an audio get together. My collection of hi-fi pressings was small then (maybe 10 or so). Jay pulled one from his personal collection and gave it to me so that I could expand my collection, an album which I still own to this day. That act of giving really sums up what kind of person Jay was, and people like Jay are rare - I'm forever grateful that I was given the chance to meet him.
