HELENA – Mr. Alan C. Cole, 61, of North Road, passed away Tuesday evening, November 7, 2018 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Plattsburgh after a brief illness.

Alan was born September 23, 1957 in Plattsburgh, the son of the late Arthur C. “Junior” and Hope (Hampton) Cole. He was raised on the farm in Helena and was a graduate of St. Lawrence Central School. On June 11, 1977, he married Patricia Goodrow in Churubusco. She predeceased him on March 13, 2017.

Alan worked for many years with the Laborer’s Union Local #1822 in Massena. He also was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed all activities that allowed him to be outdoors. He also enjoyed listening to his sons play guitar and sing and spending time with his family.

Alan is survived by his sons, Christopher C. Cole and his wife, Tammy of Massena and Trevor R. Cole and his wife, Laura of Plattsburgh; and his beautiful grandchildren who he was “Poppy” to, Kiah and Fischer.

In addition to his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Kevin on September 13, 1981, Jody on November 13, 2010, and Craig on August 15, 2018.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena on November 17, 2018 from 1-4:00 PM when a celebration of his life will be held.
