Stanley "Stan" Zepp, of Riceville Rd., Machias, died Thursday November 8, 2018 at his home at the age of 76.

He was born February 1, 1942 in Syracuse, New York a son of Stanley Sr. and Theresa (nee Grabowski) Zepp. He had attended North Syracuse High School and served in the U.S. Army from February 25, 1959 through April 13, 1962. He was a member of the former Holy Family Church in Machias and was a current member of St. Jude's Church, Sardinia.

He was a highway maintenance worker for the Town of Machias Highway Department, was a hunter, fisherman, trapper and wildlife artist.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years - Barbara (nee Valvo) Zepp whom he married June 29, 1963 in Lancaster; children - Christine (John) Wolcott of East Concord, Jennifer (Michael) Maciag of Lancaster, Jason (Theresa) Zepp of Delevan, Carrie Zepp of Machias; six grandchildren - Matthew, Nathan, Taylor, Madison, Ty and Jacob and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother - William Zepp and a sister - JoAnne Zepp.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday November 15, 2018 at 11 am in St. Jude's Church, Genesee Rd., Sardinia. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lancaster.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Machias Rescue Squad, 9548 Main St., Machias, 14101.
