Joan V. Rinehold, a Doylestown resident for the past 2 years, formerly a 28 year resident of North Carolina and previously a 50 year resident of Pipersville, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Doylestown Hospital. She was 87.
Joan was the loving wife of Robert Rinehold for 68 years.
Born in Philadelphia, Joan was a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Thomson.
Joan had been employed by Acme Markets retiring at the age of 58. Following retirement Joan enjoyed playing golf with her husband. Joan was an accomplished wood carver with the Cape Fear Woodcarvers. While living in North Carolina, Joan and Robert became very active with the Hampstead United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by 3 daughters, Jill Tower, Nancy Scott (Thomas) and Karla Quinn (Nick), 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Walter Thomson and a sister Evelyn Roland. Joan was preceded in death by a son David.
Joan’s memorial service celebrating her life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church, 7028 Easton Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947 where the family will receive friends after 10:00 am until the time of service.
