AUGUSTA, MAINE
Dana Michael Williams, Sr. - on November 26, 2018 our beloved father, friend and companion was tragically taken from us after being fatally hit by a truck in Augusta, Maine. He volunteered at the Link Center and had left to return home for his wife’s birthday.
Recently moved to Augusta, Maine approximately 15 months ago, he grew up and resided in Fall River, Mass. He was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School. Class of 1976.
He served in the National Guard and earned an honorable discharge related to health issues.
He then worked 27 years as a machine operator at Ashworth Brothers, various jobs since then. He was a member of Veterans Association in Fall River, Mass.
Dana was born on Nov. 27, 1957, the son of the late Doris Stubbs and Marvin Williams of Tiverton, RI. Husband of 38 years to Eileen Williams of Augusta, Maine. He leaves behind five children: Lisa Almeida of Fall River, Mass., Alisa Camara of Fall River, Mass., Dana Williams, Jr. of Fall River, Mass., Sarah Williams of Fall River, Mass., and Jeremy and wife Channy Williams of Lowell, Mass.. He also sadly leaves behind 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dana had seven siblings, Paul Williams, Scott Williams, Bruce Williams, Glenn Williams, Rose Correira, Sandy Medeiros and Kathy Williams.
He was a fun and loving man, who was always full of energy. He will be dearly missed and remembered daily. He would help anyone, even when he was at his worst.
All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 41 Western Avenue, Augusta, ME.
There will be a wake at 9:00 AM at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME. The wake is for family only. Thank you.
